Austin High Volleyball Makes State Championship

Maroons make state championship for the first time since 92′

After a relentless 3-2 comeback against Tompkins, the Maroons find themselves playing for a state championship. They will play Saturday November 11/22 at 6PM against the Southlake Carroll Dragons. Led by Senior captain and USC commit, Riley Malloy and Arkansas commit Maggie McCaroll, the maroons have posted a 34-6 record this season, winning their district, and they anticipate to keep the good times rolling as they travel to Dallas this weekend. Coach Woods has led this team with determination and strength so far this season and she will attempt to continue against a tough opponent in the state championship. Southlake has posted a 34-5 record this season, placing second in their district and is looking to upset the Maroons and complete the not-so-Cinderella Cinderella every kids hopes to win in high school sports.
