Coming off an exciting playoff season, Austin High Boys Basketball is gearing up for another big year! With a talented group of returning players, an impressive incoming freshman class, and plenty of momentum throughout the program, the future is bright for Maroons basketball.

Head Coach Curtis Jones and his staff will lead the Maroons into the 2026–27 season with high expectations and a challenging schedule featuring familiar district rivals, competitive tournaments, and exciting home matchups.

A New Season, Plenty of Excitement

The Maroons return a strong foundation from last year’s playoff team, while a highly regarded freshman class brings additional talent and excitement to the program. Together, they represent a promising combination of experience, energy, and potential as Austin High looks to continue building on its recent success.

The season tips off with a November 7 scrimmage at Austin High, followed by the regular-season opener on November 13 at East View.

One of the early highlights will be the Maroon Classic, hosted at Austin High November 19–21. The Maroons will also compete in December tournaments in San Antonio and Buda before turning their attention to district competition.

Varsity home games are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The Future Is Bright for Maroons Hoops

Beyond the varsity roster, excitement is building around the entire Austin High basketball program. With a talented freshman class joining the Maroons and a strong returning group setting the tone, Austin High is developing the foundation for continued success in the seasons ahead.

The Maroons will compete in District 26-6A against familiar opponents, including Bowie, Johnson, Akins, Hays, Del Valle, and Dripping Springs.

From the opening tip in November through district play in January and February, there will be plenty of opportunities for the Austin High community to pack the stands and support the Maroons.
