The Austin High Maroons boys golf team competes in District 26-6A. The Maroons are led by Head Coach Nick Lebo. Austin High offers two programs in boys golf, a Varsity team and Junior Varsity team.

Nick Lebo is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Master’s Degree of Education in Sport Management with a certification in Non-Profit Studies. He also completed his undergraduate work at the University of Texas. Nick earned a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration with majors in Business Honors and Finance as well as a Bachelor Degree of Science with a major in Sport Management. 

Nick is entering his fourteenth year of teaching and coaching in Austin ISD. He is the Head Boys Golf Coach, CTE Department Chair, and Internship Coordinator at Austin High. He was recently selected as the 2023 CTAT Texas Teacher of the Year and 2024 ACTE National Teacher of the Year. He also sponsors Business Professionals of America, Rock the Street Wall Street, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Nick’s previous professional work experience includes time with Edward Jones, The University of Texas Athletics, and the Houston Astros. He is a proud husband to his wife Kelsey and father to his children Lyla, Lily, and Shepherd. He loves being a part of the Austin High Loyal Forever Family!

This week Austin High opened our state of the art golf training facility. The on-campus facility includes 3 trackman hitting bays & PuttView laser practice green is the finest high school practice facility in Texas. It is named in honor of Austin High graduate (‘70) and legendary golfer Ben ...Crenshaw. The two times Masters champ was honored for his continued involvement at Austin High. @crenshawgolfahs
