Austin High Mountain Biking
The Austin High Maroons Mountain Bike team has been competing for over a dozen years in the National Interscholastic Mountain Bike League. The Maroons Mountain Biking team is a non-UIL sport which means that both Austin High students and middle school students who zone to Austin High are allowed to compete on the team. More on the Austin High Mountain Biking team is available here. There are races offered for Varsity, Junior Varsity and Middle School age riders on the team.

Shout out to Austin High alumni and first cousins Emory Blake (’09) and Zay Jones (’13), who went from playing for the Maroons to impressive careers on Saturdays and Sundays.
Emory starred at Auburn winning the 2010 National Championship. Zay became the all time FBS leader in career ...receptions with 399, before going on to a long NFL career.
