The Austin High Cross Country team had a banner season last year winning district (individual) and sending runners to Regionals and the Texas UIL State meet. The Maroons look ready to back up that success this season with a strong showing early in the season. At their most recent meet, the 2025 AISD Invitational, they came home with a record 6 medals. The Austin High JV Girls team claimed 4th place overall, with Abby Desmond taking 2nd place and Inara Yinuo Shiau taking 7th place. The Maroons JV Boys team claimed 2nd place overall, with Jude Wilson (2029) taking 4th place, Marshall Claire taking 8th place and Peter Hadlock (2029) taking 13th place. For Varsity Boys, the Maroons returning pace setter, Grant Vogt claimed 15th place. The XC Maroons are back in action next week at the St. Andrews Invitational next week, so come out and cheer them on!
