The Lady Maroons Soccer team concluded a highly successful 2026 campaign by securing a coveted spot in the UIL 6A State Playoffs. In one of the most competitive districts in Texas, Austin High proved its mettle with season-defining victories over traditional powerhouses Westlake and Lake Travis. The signature moment of the year—a 1-0 shutout of LT ignited by a clinical finish from MJ Maebius—solidified this group as one of the most dangerous units in Central Texas.
Earning a playoff berth in the new 26-6A alignment is a significant achievement, pitting the Maroons against a top-5 state-ranked opponent in the opening round. The 2026 postseason appearance shows the amazing talent that 2nd year Coach Sarah Goodman in bringing into the Austin High girl’s soccer program. The Lady Maroons appear set for the future with a strong core of players returning for the 2027 season including Maebius, Kate Pieczonka and Brynn Lloyd. The foundation is set for the next generation of Maroons to build on this playoff standard and become a regional powerhouse.
