Austin High Track Off to Fast Start in 2026

The 2026 season has officially launched, and if the early results are any indication, the Maroons are in for a historic run. Building on a multi-year streak of sending elite talent to the UIL State Meet, this year’s squad is proving that the Austin High track program isn’t just a competitor—it is the standard.

Dominance at the Comfort Relays

We traveled to the Comfort Relays this past week and didn’t just compete; we blew away the competition. The results speak for themselves:

  • Varsity Girls: 1st Place Overall 🏆
  • JV Girls: 1st Place Overall 🥇
  • JV Boys: 1st Place Overall 🥇

Beyond the team trophies, our athletes put the state on notice by shattering several of Comfort’s long-standing stadium records. From the sprints to the pits, the Maroons were operating at a different speed.

The Youth Movement

While our veteran leadership continues to anchor the program, the story of 2026 is the incredible depth of our freshman class. We have a wave of talented young athletes entering the program who are already posting varsity-level times and distances. This infusion of young talent, combined with our established state-level performers, makes the Maroons deeper and more dangerous across the board than ever before.

The Road to State

We have built a culture of success over the last few years, and our sights remain fixed on the Mike A. Myers Stadium in May. With the discipline, speed, and raw talent we are seeing in these early meets, the momentum is only growing.

It only gets better from here. Loyal Forever.
