Austin High Volleyball Picked as Top Team in Area

The Austin High Maroons volleyball team has been selected by the Austin Sports Journal as the #1 team in the area heading into the 2025 season. The ASJ’s Michael Adams, an expert on volleyball in this area, ranks Austin High ahead of every other team in Central Texas including Drip, LT, Vandegrift & Westlake. This is coming on the heels of a 2024 where the Lady Maroons spent a majority of the season in the top 10 in the State in UIL 6A classification. Austin High returns a lot of those talented players for ’25 and has developed more talent in the Maroons program than likely ever in the 144 year history of Austin High. The Maroons are led this season by Senior Riley Malloy (USC volleyball commit) and Junior Camille Presley (Texas volleyball commit). The Austin High Varsity Head Coach is Kiley Woods.

Founded in 1881, Stephen F. Austin High School is the oldest public high school in Texas and a cornerstone of downtown Austin.
