On Saturday, June 29 over 100 Austin Student student athletes, parents and coaches came together to participate in the “Austin High Summer Campus Cleanup”. The group divided up the campus to pick up trash, tend to green spaces and improve aesthetics from the baseball field to the Austin High tennis center. After 3 hours of work, every was treated to cold drinks and made to order burgers by Prominent Title. The Austin High Red Jackets and cheer team came out to provide support on the hot day by passing out cold waters. Coach Cecil used his own pickup truck to transport some of the trash to the dumpster. The event was put on by Maroons Club, which is the new support group for Austin High programs. Coming together is part of the core values of the Austin High Maroons community.
