Austin High Maroons

Founded in 1881, Stephen F. Austin High School is the oldest public high school in Texas and a cornerstone of downtown Austin. Today, over 650 student-athletes compete at the Texas 6A level across 23 varsity and club sports, supported by amazing facilities including a new, on-campus turf stadium. The Maroon culture is defined by State-level success, a ‘Mens Agitat Molem’ (Mind Over Matter) motto, and a passionate community that actively champions student achievement. With a storied history and a network of alumni who are ‘Loyal Forever,’ Austin High translates rigorous academics into premier college opportunities and excellence in every arena.
